Tylenol Dosages: A Warning!

Our thanks to Kat Huck

Since a lot of us administer acetaminophen to babies post-op, please be sure you are aware of the difference between infant oral suspension drops and children's elixir. I recently read an article  regarding a mother who,
in her best intentions, was over-dosing her child without knowing it. She had called a nurse and was told to give "X" amount of Tylenol. Well, she measured out that amount of SUSPENSION drops, not the elixir as it was
supposed to have been.

Oral suspension drops are more concentrated, so babies don't need as much as the elixir syrup.
