Sarah S.

Sarah was born with Pierre Robin Syndrome. Sarah's pictures are presented to you by her parents, Randall and Amy, and her brother Justin.

Mommy and Sarah, her first night in NICU. Sarah had breathing difficulties while trying to breastfeed, and was taken to NICU for close monitoring; her blood work came back positive for Group B strep infection in her blood and Group B strep pneumonia. Just a few hours old, May 19, 1996, 7 pounds 14 ounces - 3 weeks preemie too!

May 23, 1996 - 4 days old - 7 pounds, 8 ounces

They've taken Sarah off the oxygen. Daddy keeps a worried eye on her PulseOx. May 28, 1996 - 9 days old - 7 pounds 2 ounces.

Big brother Justin having a chat with Sarah's neonatologist. Justin was making sure he was gonna take good care of his "Sissy". Justin came to visit Sarah on his birthday, May 23, 1996.

Sarah's first day home from the hospital, 12 days after she was born. She quickly learned to keep her head turned to the side to help with her breathing. May 31, 1996 - 12 days old - 7 pounds

Isn't my little red head wide eyed and alert this morning? June 6, 1996 - 3 weeks old - 7 pounds 2 ounces

June 22, 1996 - 5 weeks old - 7 pounds 7 ounces. She is starting to lose all her hair! (boohoo...)

Sarah wears a cute cap since she lost all her hair (boohoo). But she got her ears pierced so she didn't look like a boy. 4 months old, 9 pounds

Sarah 1 week after palate surgery. She's trying to brush what little bit of fuzz she has on the top of her head. June 26, 1997 - 13 months old - 19 pounds

Sarah playing with her cousin's Jurassic Park toys instead of her dolls this Christmas. Look, she is getting her hair back now. 19 months old - December 25, 1997 - 21 pounds, 4 ounces
